The birds are chirping, the crocuses are pushing up through the snow, and my daughter came home from preschool today with sunburned cheeks. I’M DOING A SPRING PATTERN POST, DAMMIT. (You will have me to blame when it snows where you are in May. Rest assured, I will blame myself when it snows here in June.) But after my foray into sewing jeans last week, my fingers are itching to touch some lightweight fabrics and sew some easy and breezy silhouettes. Spring and summer sewing is a great place for beginners to start; many of these patterns are easier because they are free of linings and set-in sleeves. If you’ve been on the fence about starting to sew garments, some of these just might inspire you to make the leap!
