Things are a little crazy here at RST HQ, but allow me to guide you to some cool things happening lately in the world of quilting and sewing:
- My fellow guild member Stephanie Ruyle of Spontaneous Threads has a KICK-ASS tutorial on her blog for adding tiny inset seams, a couture technique, to quilt tops. It’s amazing, and just might be one of the reasons she had a gazillion quilts in the QuiltCon show. Just sayin’.
- The National Quilt Museum currently has a cool exhibit called “New Quilts from an Old Favorite: Nine Patch,” featuring, as you might imagine, modern takes on the traditional quilt block. Yay, modern quilting! Check out their Facebook page for details and photos.
- Right Sides Together is now on Pinterest! (I’ve been on for years, but just not in any “official” capacity. All of which is to say that I’ve deleted my more embarrassing pins like “Accepting Your Butt” and “Why Is No One Doing My Quilt-Along?” Still, there’s an RST board and I’ve got a lot of other crafty stuff up there.) Follow us and I’ll send you a big virtual kiss for your repins of our tutorials and posts! MWAH.
